What We Collect

When you request an estimate — through the forms on this site, or by phone or email — we receive what you share with us: your name, email address, phone number, street address, town, and a description of the work you need.

If you use the chat assistant, we receive the messages you type. If you ask it to pass your details to us, it sends the same information the estimate form would.

This site has no user accounts. Cloudflare, which serves the site, processes ordinary request information such as IP address and browser details to deliver and protect it.

We also use Google’s measurement and advertising tools, which set cookies and collect usage information. See “Analytics and advertising” below.

How We Use It

We use your information to respond to your request, so Scott can look over your property and put a quote together. Form submissions are delivered to us as email through Brevo, our email service provider, which processes the message in order to deliver it.

We also keep a record of estimate requests in a private Google spreadsheet, so we can track which jobs we have quoted and which we have completed. Google provides the storage; the spreadsheet is not shared publicly.

We do not sell the information submitted through this site, and we do not use estimate requests for third-party marketing.

Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, including whether visits lead to estimate requests and phone calls. It sets cookies and receives usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device details.

Our Google Analytics property is linked to a Google Ads account. Because of that link, Google also sets advertising cookies — including cookies from doubleclick.net — and may add your visit to a remarketing audience, which means you can later see our ads on Google and its partner sites. This happens on ordinary page views, not only when you submit something.

If you submit an estimate request, the email address or phone number you enter may be shared with Google in hashed form, solely to measure which ads lead to genuine requests.

To reduce the load these tools place on your device, the Google tag is not loaded until you interact with the page, or a few seconds after it finishes loading — except when you arrive from one of our ads, where it loads immediately so the click can be measured.

The Chat Assistant

Wren, the assistant in the corner of this site, is powered by a Google AI model. When you send it a message, that message and the conversation so far are sent to a service we run on Google Cloud, which passes them to Google’s model to produce a reply. Conversations are held in your browser for the duration of your visit and are not used to build a profile of you.

Please don’t type anything into the chat you wouldn’t put in an email. If you ask it to pass your details on, they reach us the same way an estimate request does.

How Long We Keep It

Estimate requests are retained only as reasonably needed to follow up, provide services, maintain ordinary business records, and meet legal obligations.

Hosting and Security

This site is served over HTTPS by Cloudflare, which may set strictly functional cookies for security and to protect the estimate form from abuse.
